Last Minute, Help!

I'm a permanent resident of NC, but I'm away from home for college (though still in NC). I thought I registered here for the '08 election but just found out from the NC website that I didn't (I forgot it was just an absentee vote). What are my options? Is there something I can do still? I read something about a provisional ballot, should I consider that? Ahh help please!

You should go to your nearest polling place and vote. (If you need to look it up, just use the FIND YOUR POLLING PLACE tool on the right-hand side of this page.)

Explain your situation. You will be allowed to a provisional ballot.

After the election, the elections officials will determine whether you are a registered and eligible voter and if they will count your vote. Here are the rules on provisional ballots: http://www.ncsbe.gov/VoterLookup.aspx?Feature=provisional

    Good luck!
